The Right to Develop 2024-2050

Welcome to The Right to Develop – South Africa’s leading built-environment skills development organisation dedicated to empowering practitioners, professionals, students, and aspiring investors.

We provide practical, industry-aligned training for individuals seeking to acquire knowledge and expertise in planning, contracting, project management, and infrastructure and property development. Our programmes are designed to equip both entry-level and experienced participants with the technical, regulatory, and investment insight required to participate confidently in development projects locally and internationally.

On 30 November 2024, we proudly hosted our inaugural The Right to Develop Exhibition in Kloof. The event was a remarkable success, attracting strong participation from officials representing eThekwini Municipality, private investment delegates, and students from across South Africa. The exhibition created a dynamic platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and meaningful engagement between the public sector, private sector, and emerging built-environment professionals.

Through initiatives such as our exhibitions, training programmes, and professional development platforms, The Right to Develop continues to strengthen South Africa’s built-environment capacity and contribute toward sustainable infrastructure and property development growth.
